Mission Statement

The Mission:

St. Mary's is a Catholic college-preparatory high school whose rigorous academic and extra-curricular programs encourage young men and women to reach their spiritual, intellectual, moral, physical and creative potential.

The Vision:

 

St. Mary's is a co-educational, secondary school where all students receive a rigorous quality college preparatory academic experience in keeping with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.  St. Mary's strives to form leaders who love God, work hard and are compassionate toward others; thus enabling its students to develop their intellectual, moral and physical talents to acquire a more perfect sense of individual responsibility, a correct use of freedom and a capacity for productive participation in society.  Students are welcomed to St. Mary's regardless of religious affiliation, race, ethnicity, or income level.

St. Mary's holds the following core values:

Preserving a strong Catholic Identity by providing a faith-based education aiding students to see themselves as stewards of the life they live and promoting the values of community and service;

  • Offering a quality college preparatory education in a learning environment where students are held to rigorous academic standards and are supported by qualified and dedicated teachers enabling students to be successful at St. Mary's as well as at their next level of education;
  • Encouraging students to participate in extracurricular activities to develop leadership, integrity, perseverance and collaborative excellence;
  • Facilitating an engaged community of learners including students, parents, faculty, staff and members of school governance bodies.
