Technology

St. Mary’s High School Technology Mission Statement

The Technology Department strives to support the students, faculty, and staff as they use technology in their support of the mission of St. Mary’s.  We provide technical support for all the hardware and software on campus that is used by all the employees and students.  We provide training and support to teachers and encourage them to integrate technology in their teaching and learning.  The goal of the Technology Department is to prepare all St. Mary’s students to be both confident and competent in the use of technology wherever they may find it in their future studies.

Facilities

St. Mary’s has two computer labs; a writing lab and a teaching lab. These labs are available to students before and after school. Teachers have access to the writing lab for class sessions throughout the day. St. Mary’s also has a 30 station mobile laptop cart available to teachers for class instruction. The Library and Guidance Suite also have several workstations where students can access the Internet. Over 80% of our classrooms have SmartBoards.

All rooms are connected to the school network and have access to the Internet via our firewall. There are also wireless connections available throughout the school. Our firewall contains content filtering and antivirus protection.

Students, faculty and staff can access their email at home at the following address:
